Artist Llael McDonald is inspired by her surroundings.  Her work depicts the landscape in a fantastical light.  Her pieces feature recognisable Victorian backdrops, brushed with an element of fantasy and haunting beauty, creating an imagined mythology and a narrative that is changeable from view to viewer.

Llael cites Edward Hopper, Jeffrey Smart and Rick Amor as her biggest influences.  Llael has collectors worldwide and has been painting in oil for over 20 years.  She resides and practices her trade in country Victoria.
